How to connect your live domain to GeekBee WordPress hosting?

Hi everyone,

Have you successfully completed your website and want to publish it? That’s great!
Let’s see how to connect your existing domain name to GeekBee.

Your site is finally ready and you want to bring it to life? This is a great moment as from now on anyone can visit your website. Don’t worry, this is just a small technical setting. I promise it won’t be that hard. Come on, log in to Geekbee admin and we’ll do it in 2 minutes

Firstly, click on the Settings button on the top left of the screen, then go to Domain Settings.

Here you can find all the instructions you need, but let’s take Namecheap for example.

After you signed in to your Namecheap account, go to your domain settings, then to the Advanced DNS tab, now click the red Add new record button in order to add the new records. We will need them.

Copy everything you need from our dashboard and add one CNAME and one A record to your domain settings and make sure there aren’t any typos.

This is how the records should look like after you set them.

Now let’s go back to your GeekBee admin panel. The last step is to add your domain to GeekBee as well. Write or copy/paste your domain name and press the Set domain name button.

You’re done and the domain name is connected successfully, but keep in mind that CNAME record changes can take up to 72 hours to go into effect.

Good job and Welcome, now you are also a member of the GeekBee Hive, and in case you need help with anything, just get in touch with us!
