Top business conferences to attend in 2021
I read somewhere that your “Net worth” is your “Network.” No single person can know everything, and no single person can do all the things. Technology has outgrown all of us combined; however, it is also true that it needs to be enhanced and polished all the time. In order to keep up with the latest trends and stay on top of the latest innovation, it is necessary to learn about all the things that you can utilize to do your job better than anyone else.
Conferences and workshops are some of the most effective ways to learn about new tech, meet other people and learn from the experience of others who are masters in their field of work. Also, you get to meet and hear from the makers of tech who are an absolute authority on the subject matter.
Due to the pandemic in 2020, almost all conferences and workshops were canceled while some were held virtually (online). All enthusiasts were feeling some kind of void and were left wondering – what next? Today in 2021, we still face closures and regulations that still prohibit mass gatherings. But compared to 2020, we have gotten used to it, and almost all the conferences and workshops are returning on schedule. Some areas where the authorities feel safe enough are open to attendees to come and meet everyone else in person.
Let’s dig in and see which opportunities are available and which conferences can you still attend (virtual or in-person) in 2021. We are listing them in no particular order:
1. Blackhat 2021 – USA – July 31 to August 5, 2021 (Online and In-Person)
For security enthusiasts and personnel, this is the most exciting and important conference to attend. It is a hybrid conference that you can attend either in-person, or you can have the same in-person experience online as well. It is a cybersecurity conference with ethical hackers attending and training the trainees that involve detecting, patching, and even reverse attacking the cyberattacks known to mankind (and machines) to date.
2. AWS re:Inforce – USA – August 24 – 25, 2021 (In-Person)
A big chunk of web services (websites, online platforms, apps, and more) utilize the power of Amazon Web Services (AWS) one way or the other. The biggest names in tech depend on the solutions that AWS provides and this is the conference to attend if you are already using AWS or plan to use it in the future. This conference is not just for the techies but managers and marketers as well. You need to understand that core tech in order to sell and present your solution to your clientele.
The conference plans to cover the following aspects of cloud-based solutions:
- Data Protection & Privacy
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Identity & Access Management
- Network & Infrastructure Security
- Threat Detection & Incident Response
3. Design, Thinking & Innovation Week – London, England – June 1 – 4, 2021 (In-Person)
As the name suggests, it is a (business) week-long conference, workshop, and event that encompasses it all. It is for the existing and future entrepreneurs who want to see up-close how successful entrepreneurs and businesses operate. According to their website:
“An immersive programme for creative entrepreneurs, innovation directors and business owners… All lectures and workshops will take place in the actual agencies giving participants a better context of the topic. This programme is designed to give you inspiration and tools for your work, to help you get an expert opinion on your current projects and keep you up-to-date with the latest trends in the industry.”
This one-of-a-kind event is an excellent opportunity to learn the art of successful and most effective UI and UX trends and how to utilize them to create an effective product or service that sells.
4. Dublin Tech Summit – Ireland – June 17, 2021 (Virtual Conference)
Dublin Tech Summit (DTS21) is expected to have about 5000 attendees with expert speakers from around 70 countries around the world. If you are interested in networking and learning the art of scaling your startup, business, or company, you should attend this conference.
We are not sure how effective the networking part will be since it is a virtual conference. Maybe they have chat rooms set up or something similar because gaining access to 5000 attendees around the world is an excellent opportunity for growth.
5. The Next Web Conference – Amsterdam, Netherlands – September 30 – October 1, 2021 (Hybrid Experience)
The Next Web Conference (TNW21) is one of the most exciting platforms to bring together a myriad of people from around the globe to shape the future of tech and help techpreneurs grow exponentially. Due to certain limitations still in place, only 4500 people will be allowed to attend this conference. 4500 is still a significant number to connect, network, and help grow your company.
These are only a few conferences that we find exciting and are looking forward to attending. So which conference are you looking forward to?
