5. If the WordPress website is displaying posts on multiple pages, this line of code will say “multiple_pages.” If WordPress displays posts on one big page, this line of code will say “one_.”
How to change multiple pages to a single page?
To change WordPress from displaying posts on multiple pages to displaying posts on one big page, please follow these steps:
1. Open the WordPress website in a web browser
2. Right-click anywhere on the page and select “Inspect” from the menu
3. A window will open at the bottom of the web browser with code that looks like this:
4. Look for “wp-content/themes/twentyfifteen/single.php” and click on it to highlight the text
5. The line of code will be highlighted and look like this:
6. If the WordPress website is displaying posts on multiple pages, delete or comment out this line of code by adding a hashtag (#) in front of it, like this:
7. WordPress will now display posts on one big page.
Note: If WordPress is installed as a subfolder of the website domain (for example, WordPress is installed in the folder “WordPress” and the WordPress website is located at “example.com/wordpress”), follow these additional steps:
1. Open WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading
2. Under “Front page displays”, select “A static page” and choose any page from the drop-down menu under “Posts page”.
